Would You Rather: Watch the Death Star Explode or the Genesis Planet Form?

explosion of death star and formation of genesis planet

It’s Tuesday, and time again for “Would You Rather,” the game where you have to make the hard choices. In last week’s question, would you rather be a Jedi or a Time Lord, Time Lord got 69% of the vote. This week, you’ll get the chance to see destruction or creation.

    The Scenario

You just inherited a huge amount of money, and want to use it to take the trip of a lifetime. While browsing online, you discover a unique new option on your favorite travel site called The Greatest Sight in the Universe. You can book a trip on a spaceship to see an amazing view: watch the Death Star explode or the Genesis Planet being formed. Which would you choose?

    The Ground Rules

    • You can only choose one or the other.
    • You have to pick one or the other.
    • In either scenario, you can get as close or as far away as you like. No matter which option you choose, you’ll be completely safe. The spaceship will be shielded to protect it from the explosion or implosion.
    • For safety reasons, you can only watch the view from space. You cannot stay on the Death Star or the Genesis Planet during the show.
    • If you choose the Death Star, you’ll be seeing the destruction of the space station from Return of the Jedi.
    • If you choose the Genesis Planet, you’ll be watching the formation of the planet from Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan.
    • Once it’s over, you’ll be returning to Earth for a complimentary buffet. You cannot stay at Endor or on the Genesis Planet.
    • No recording devices (movies or photographs) are allowed during the show. However, you will get a nice keepsake postcard.
    • Once the show is over, you cannot return or repeat the performance.
    • You cannot go back afterwards and book the other show.

Which would you choose? Make your choice and let us know why in the comments. Also, let us know if you have a suggestion for a future “would you rather” game.

As much as I like seeing things blow up, I'd choose to see the Genesis planet form. (And Trek over Wars anyway,)

Excellent. It would have to be Genesis.
I always prefer Star Trek over Star Wars, but the Death Star would be fast and furious.
The creation of a planet would be a lengthy show and a beautiful sight to behold! sff

I like fireworks. Plus, if the Death Star is over quickly I get first dibs on the buffet!
