    Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum)

Today is “National Bosses Day”. Boss’s Day is generally observed on or around October 16 in the United States. Traditionally, employees thank their bosses for being kind and fair throughout the year. Popular ways to say “thanks” include cards, a lunch in the boss’s honor, flowers, or gift certificates. While not every boss is great some are exceptional leaders and thinkers in their field.

If your boss doesn’t have any words of wisdom for you here are some to move you. To celebrate National Bosses Day here are the top ten inspirational quotes from the greatest sci-fi companies in history.

    1. “I don’t care about the past, I believe in the power to reinvent yourself.”

    – Lex Luthor, CEO of LexCorp

    from Superman

    2. “Archimedes had it only partly right. It isn’t merely levers that are required to move the world, but also the proper incentive.”

    – Susan Storm, CEO of Fantastic Four Incorporated

    from Fantastic Four

    – Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz

from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (1981)

    5. “It’s not who I am underneath… but what I do… that defines me.”

    – Bruce Wayne CEO of WayneTech

    from Batman Begins (2005)

    6. “Men are still good. We fight. We kill. We betray one another. But we can rebuild. We can do better. We will. We have to.”

    – Bruce Wayne CEO of WayneTech

from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

    7. “Forty thousand years of evolution and we’ve barely even tapped the vastness of human potential.”

    – Norman Osborn Founder and CEO of OsCorp

    from Spider-Man (2002)

    8. “When one buries a treasure, one should not leave behind a map…”

    – Dr. Oswell E. Spencer President of Umbrella Corporation

    Resident Evil

    9. “I will settle for nothing short of greatness, or I will die trying.”

    – Peter Weyland founder and CEO of Weyland Corp

My boss and I spent the day ignoring each other. Definitely no motivational quotes there. It's weird "the Old Man" never got a real name.

Is it just because she's a woman that I choose #2 as a favorite? 🙂 Probably!
My least favorite is #12 Corporations are destroying the world and that's not a comic, that's the truth!
