Poll: Should HEROES Return on Netflix?

Dana Davis, Noah Gray-Cabey, Greg Grunberg, Robert Knepper, Ali Larter,

Should Heroes come back as an original series on Netflix?

Back in the day the quasi-superhero show Heroes
was amazing. I watched the first season, which premiered September 25,
2006, obsessively along with 14.3 million others and the series grabbed
a ton of awards for the show and creator Tim Kring. The American Film
Institute named Heroes one of the ten “best television programs of the year.”

Then, season two came and the show faltered. I stopped watching
regularly. By season four, I had no idea what was going on and so did
millions of others who abandoned the show. By February 8, 2010, when
the show was canceled, the show had less than half the viewers from
it’s hayday and I couldn’t care less. Too bad, because the show was
    awesome.

It made Hayden Panettiere a star, Sylar (Zachary Quinto) a household name and created a unique episodic format that has never been repeated.

MSN said they wanted to produce new episodes of the show for X-Box, but we haven’t heard much since then. Dynamite Entertainment says they’re making comic books based on the series. But Netflix be the place it returns?

Netflix is quickly becoming a producer of original television that rivals the cable stations. With a new season of Arrested Development and hit shows like House of Cards and Hemlock Grove it could flourish there.

    This week’s poll is:

The result of the last weekly poll is that fans don’t care if George Takei doesn’t write his own jokes
by 42.7%. 36.3% of voters think he’s still hilarious. Sadly, 2.85% have
no idea who George Takei is. Come on people. Can you get your head out
    of the ground?

Come back next week for the bi-weekly Caption This!
and come back in two weeks for the next poll.

I would have no problem seeing Heroes return, but I think they'd have to streamline things a bit. Near the end, a lot of those storylines got very convoluted.

The first couple of seasons were great, though.

Only if they make the show better. Not sure how to vote for that.

    3. Pat Dilloway on July 18, 2013 3:18 pm

I really didn't like the Arrested Development season on Netflix but I did like House of Cards so maybe they do better rebooting old British shows than producing extensions of original ones. Maybe they could do a Heroes reboot since that's all the rage with superhero movies.

i will pass on heroes… i don't think the fans will return, i dropped off early in season 2 and never returned…

    5. Melissa Bradley on July 18, 2013 4:25 pm

Did not watch heroes much and with Quinto and Pannatierre big stars now, they wouldn't get the best two back. Who wants to watch the crappy seasons again? 🙂

    6. DAVID WALSTON on July 18, 2013 4:50 pm

It had its run. Now it is coming out in a comic book form.

I doubt it'll ever be popular again, but I wouldn't mind seeing new Heroes material.

    8. Clarissa Draper on July 19, 2013 2:07 am

I liked the first season of Heroes so bring it back but don't lose the format of the first season.
