Amazon is easily one of the greatest locations to buy books online. Although the site has now evolved to sell every other type of product imaginable, the mega-retailer began as an online bookstore, and this is evident anytime there is a deal. The Amazon Book Sale has only just started, but it already has the biggest discounts on books, comics, and box sets we’ve seen in 2025.
The shopping event is open to all Amazon customers in the United States. Amazon says it features deals on a handpicked selection of titles across all genres, including 80% off thousands of eBooks, 65% off hundreds of print books, and audiobooks for less than $8.

I’ve highlighted the finest prices I’ve seen so far, which lean significantly toward my own reading preferences, although the sale is open to all genres. If you’re looking for something specific, the easiest place to start is Amazon’s main offers landing page, where you can limit your search down using the search box. This will automatically populate your search with only items on sale, rather than filtering by category.
Should you Buy eBooks or Printed Books?
Some of the best overall reductions in this sale are for digital Kindle books. Some prices have been dropped by up to 80%, whereas print books have only had a maximum price decrease of 65%. If you locate a book you don’t want to own, it’s absolutely worth shopping for the electronic sale. This is a fantastic alternative if you want to read it and then move on, but the print book sale is your best bet if you want something to add to your physical bookshelves.
When Does This Sale End?
According to Amazon, the book discount will conclude on Monday, April 28. Based on this information, you should have plenty of time to take advantage of the approaching weekend bargains.
