Here are the early box office results of this past weekend Jun 18, 2018 – Jun 24, 2018

Week 25 Box Office Winner: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Universal’s “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” opened in the number one spot in its first week. It pulled in $150 domestically and $106,700,000 overseas for a worldwide total of $712 million. Unsurprisingly the studio had a huge weekend with the latest movie in the “Jurassic Park” franchise. This is despite a critical “rotten” rating (currently 50%).

Walt Disney’s “Incredibles 2” dropped down to the number two spot in its second week. It lost 56% over last week to make $80.9 million for a domestic box office gross of $350 million and a worldwide total of $485 million.

Walt Disney’s “Solo: A Star Wars Story” dropped again after facing stiff competition to the number five spot in the fifth week. It made about 60% less than the fourth week to make a measly $4 million for a domestic box office gross of $202 million and a worldwide total of $353 million.

Walt Disney’s “Avengers: Infinity War” stayed in the number eight spot in its ninth week. It lost around 54% over last week to make $2.5 million for a domestic box office gross of $669 million and a worldwide total of $2.031 billion.

Paramount Pictures’s “A Quiet Place” moved up three positions to the number 18 spot in its twelfth week. It  made 170,000 for a domestic box office gross of $187 million and a worldwide total of $328 million

Walt Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time” is still in a handful of theaters and dropped nine positions to the number 22 spot. It made $90,000 domestically leaving it with a worldwide total of $133 million.

What do you think of this week’s box office?
