Here’s what actor Lee Pace had to say about his role in the Captain Marvel movie.
“Captain Marvel” started production recently and announced the surprising return of Ronan the Accuser. Pace starred in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) as the fanatical villain Ronan, but (spoiler alert) died.
Lee Pace recently appeared on New York Live to promote his Broadway show ‘Angels in America’ and confirmed his role saying “that is true”. “I’m excited to be back,” Pace told hosts, Jacque Reid and Sara Gore.
When pressed for details he refused to share anything more saying “I know nothing, I don’t know anything. I wish I could tell you all the secrets, but I don’t know any secrets!”

The new movie, set before the events in Guardians of the Galaxy, is a prequel set the in the 1990s. Ronan While his role was well-received was brief.
Pace played Ronan, also known as Ronan the Accuser, a radical member of the Kree race who was repulsed by a peace treaty made between the Kree Empire and Xandar. He tried to eradicate the Xandarians by working with the Mad Titan Thanos. He tried to trade the Orb in exchange for the destruction of Xandar but decided to use it himself to destroy them. He was defeated and killed by the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Along with Lee Pace, Clark Gregg is reprising his role as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson and Djimon Hounsou is coming back as Korath.
This cast keeps getting better and better!
