It’s always hard to keep things secret while filming a movie. They’re currently filming Man of Steel 2, titled Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in Detroit and some photos of Ben Affleck’s
new Batmobile have leaked online. They’re filming in area of Sixth and
Howard in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood.

We don’t know exactly what’s
being filmed, but we do know it’s a major action scene. Batman-News shared a letter that was sent to residents in the area that they were planning some big pyrotechniques in the area tonight.

Here’s a text of the letter sent to nearby tenants

Crown City Pictures. INC will be filrmng
night scenes for an upcoming project within the Russell Industrial
Center property during the nights of Tuesday. September 9th through
Friday, September 12th 2014. During these overnight hours, filming will
take place in several places outdoors throughout the Russell Industrial
Center.

ON THE NIGHT OF WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10th, 2014 production will be
deploying some pyrotechnic effects outdoors in the Russell Industrial
Center complex.

For safety reasons. ALL TENANT8 MUST HAVE THEIR WINDOWS COMPLETELY CLOSED ON THE NIGHT OF WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10th, 2014.

The Detroit Police Department and Detroit Fire Departments will both be
on site to assist and monitor our filming and to ensure all safety
protocols and precautions are observed. We will make every effort to
minimize the impact and timing of the noise.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we
appreciate your cooperation and patience with regards to our filming.

Our first look at the new Batmobile was in a tweet by Zack Snyder which only showed the top.

Then, they showed the back end covered under a tarp

The first leaked pictures from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice were of two vehicles covered in tarps being carried on set.

Then some blurry pictures of the Batmobile leaked out.

In the last few days though we’ve gotten some amazing pictures of Ben Affleck’s new Batmobile. Instragram users sv1tXtHvwC and amacro13o grabbed these pictures of the Batmobile on the set of Man of Steel 2.

The most interesting part is how the doors of the Batmobile swing up and out like bat wings, which is a sweet design.

The movie stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent / Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone / Cyborg, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Scoot McNairy as Jimmy Olsen and Holly Hunter. The scheduled release date is March 25, 2016.
