See 8 real-life landscapes that look like a science fiction movie.
There are some directors, like George Lucas and James Cameron, that
film against a green screen and create bizarre and weird worlds that
could exist only in a computer. There are other directors, like J.J.
Abrams that like to film in the real-world and create elaborate sets to
create fanciful worlds. They could save a lot of money by filming in
some real-life places that look straight out of a sci-fi movie. Here
are some strange and wonderful places that make you feel like you’re on
an alien planet.

Which is your favorite bizarre world? Would you visit any of these places? What movie would you film there?

I can definitely see a cool science fiction story on that island. Those are some wild trees.
Those rocks look like swimming birds. Cool.
I plan to visit the geyser in NV at some point. Maybe next summer. ๐
Those are some odd looking places. I suppose the problem filming in any of them is that they're probably remote and the footprint of a movie production would be fairly significant.
3 of the 8 were created by the arrogance of man….Let them fight…
Good one David. "The arrogance of man is thinking nature is in our control… and not the other way around."
Yeah most of those would cost a fortune but it would be worth it.
Avatar 2!
