Watch Geordi, Data, and the Cast of ‘ST: TNG’ Test Makeup and Costumes [ Video]

Before the Enterprise returned to television in Star Trek: The Next Generation, the actors had to do the more mundane things that need to be done in any TV show. One of them was the screen tests for the make-up and costumes. In TNG, this got complicated with the more fantastic elements like Data’s android make-up, Troi’s black contact lenses, and Geordi’s VISOR. In this video, we get to see the early stages of Geordi, Data, and other cast members of the Enterprise crew modeling their looks for the camera. Keep an eye out for alternate versions of Data’s hair and skin tones, a Jheri Curled stand-in wearing Geordi’s VISOR, lots of giggling, and Troi’s funky hair-dos.
