Marvel’s promotional costume reveals have become a powerhouse strategy for building hype — from early teaser posters and official artwork to leaked photos and variant cover drop announcements. Whether it’s the enormous character roster showcased in Avengers: Doomsday promo art, fresh suit teasers for Spider-Man and Doomsday, these reveals don’t just hint at what’s coming — they drive fan speculation, social buzz, and marketing momentum ahead of every release.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day (July 2026)

Starting with the web-slinger, the Spider-Man movie is coming out on July 31, 2026. But the promotional material has started early. Recent leaks from the Brazilian retailer Piticas (via Screenrant) have given us our first look at Peter Parker’s new ensemble of villains:
Scorpion (Michael Mando):

Specifically, Michael Mando is returning as Mac Gargan as Scorpion. Finally fully revealed, the suit is a tactical, mechanical hybrid. It features a green-and-yellow color scheme with a prominent hydraulic tail. Some fans have noted it looks like a “prototype” similar to Vulture’s tech, and while the promo art shows him maskless, rumors suggest a helmet will appear in the film.
Tarantula & Boomerang:

These “B-list” villains appear in very comic-accurate gear. Boomerang (Frederick ‘Fred’ Myers) hasn’t been confirmed to appear in the movie, and we don’t know who’s playing him. But he’s wearing his signature flight suit and headgear.

Meanwhile, Tarantula (Anton Miguel Rodriguez) is a spider-themed villain. The promotional artwork sports a modernized version of his spider-themed mask. We don’t know who’s playing him in the movie, just like Boomerang,
The Hulk

Switching gears to the heavy hitters, we know that Mark Ruffalo is returning to Spider-Man: Brand New Day as Bruce Banner. But there have been rumors around which version we’ll see. When he first appeared, he was the typical Savage Hulk. But in Avengers: Endgame, he became “Smart Hulk.” A combination of Banner’s brains and the Hulk’s strength. Would he be Smart, Savage, or even Grey Hulk? The promo art seems to confirm that he’s returning to the not-intellectual Savage Hulk.
Avengers: Doomsday (December 2026)
While Spider-Man stays street-level, the scope expands significantly with the next Avengers movie. Promotional artwork for the upcoming Marvel Phase 6 movie has been released, and it has a bunch of costume reveals.
Doctor Doom

In fact, Robert Downey Jr. is playing the villain Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. We got a brief peek at Doctor Doom in Fantastic Four. But promotional events have given us a better look. At Shanghai Disneyland Park Marketing Expo, promotional artwork features the Latverian monarch (via Laughing Place).
Beyond the lead villain, Marvel also released a promotional comic book cover, and it features several members from Avengers: Doomsday.

Adding further fuel to the fire, another image shared by a make-up and special effects artist on Instagram, named Gi Ponci, was shared on her personal Instagram account. It reveals a gift received after principal photography, and it contains key details about the film. The artist has since made their account private following the image’s circulation online. So it’s probably legit.

Costume reveals are more than just cool visuals — they’re a central part of Marvel’s promotional engine, shaping fan conversations across platforms, inspiring cosplay communities, and boosting merchandise demand. As leaks, teasers, and official reveals continue to roll out for upcoming films, comics, and games, one thing is clear: every new suit sparks new excitement, reminding audiences why Marvel’s characters remain some of pop culture’s most iconic and eagerly anticipated. Stay tuned as more costumes emerge and push fan speculation even further.
