The Star Trek universe just added one of the biggest stars from sports entertainment. WWE Superstar Becky Lynch is officially joining the cast of the new series, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, and the first official image has been revealed, sending shockwaves across both wrestling and sci-fi fandoms.
From WWE Ring Star to Star Trek: Becky Lynch’s New Role
Rebecca Quin, known globally as Becky Lynch, is transitioning from “The Man” in the ring to a key member of the Starfleet crew. Much like many other WWE stars who became sci-fi actors. The photo confirms her role as an unnamed Starfleet Officer on the bridge crew of the USS Athena, the starship that serves as the Academy’s campus. Set in the 32nd Century, the highly anticipated series follows the first new class of cadets in over a century.
The WWE Star is seen sporting an Operations Gold uniform, a classic color in the Star Trek canon, along with a distinct bob haircut featuring blue streaks. While the name of her character has not yet been announced, her casting is a significant crossover event, ensuring a massive audience of wrestling fans will be tuning in when the show premieres.
A Powerful Crossover: WWE and Star Trek
Becky Lynch’s acting career has been on the rise, and her involvement in a franchise as iconic as Star Trek is a major statement. This high-profile casting perfectly bridges two dedicated fan bases, creating immediate excitement for the show.
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is set to premiere on Paramount+ in January, making it the next big installment in the franchise. With the powerful search presence of Becky Lynch now attached, the show is positioned for an epic debut.
