Tom Holland released a couple more images from the set to commemorate the start of filming, showing Spider-Man atop a massive armoured vehicle and showcasing the new spider-suit’s enormous, rectangular chrome web shooters.

On Friday, August 1, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” officially began filming in Glasgow, Scotland. New images from the set show 29-year-old Tom Holland flaunting his amazing new Spider-Man suit.

Holland seems to be sporting the same homemade outfit he used at the very end of 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” despite the lack of details surrounding the fourth web-slinging feature.
Holland’s most recent suit is more reminiscent of the suits worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield during their respective stints as the witty wall-crawler than the red-and-black suit he wore for most of the first three “Spider-Man” movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the Iron Spider suit of armour from Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark in “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.”
The first-ever images from the “Brand New Day” set show Holland’s Spidey filming a sequence atop an armoured vehicle, both wearing and not wearing his famous mask.
He was seen grinning broadly and waving to someone outside of the frame, though it’s unclear if this is a part of the movie or if the “Odyssey” actor is just being amiable.
The BAFTA Award-winner was seen picking at a wedgie in other pictures taken on the first day of production. This was probably caused by the “Cherry” actor jumping and swinging around in his fantastic new outfit.
In addition to showcasing Holland’s new outfit, the photos from the “Brand New Day” set showed how the film’s production transformed Scotland’s biggest city into Lower Manhattan.
As the armoured vehicle drives down Franklin Street, cars and NYC taxi cabs are overturned, and NYPD vehicles rush the scene as Holland’s Spider-Man tries to stop the carnage.
Additionally, extras portraying New York City residents are seen hurrying past USPS trucks and FDNY ambulances.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” which is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, is slated to take place following the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and preceding those of “Avengers: Doomsday.”
Sadie Sink from “Stranger Things” and Liza Colón-Zayas from “The Bear” have confirmed their arrival, while Holland, his fiancée Zendaya (Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson), and Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds) are all returning.
