With a brand-new teaser, Marvel is stylishly reminding us that Fantastic Four: First Steps, the next Marvel film, is just one month away.
The last trailer focused on Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer, who arrived to warn of the danger posed by the dread Galactus and the Silver Age retro-kitsch of its planet. However, the movie’s last major trailer reminds us that we already have a glimmer of what might happen to the Fantastic Four. And that it is very serious news that Ralph Ineson’s devourer of planets has arrived.
Indeed, the prospect of Galactus’s entrance on this specific Earth in Marvel’s universe means that the Fantastic Four will eventually need to move from this reality to the MCU’s main world, as the conclusion of Thunderbolts hinted at.
It remains to be determined if they will have done so after successfully defeating Galactus or if they are searching for alternative worlds in the hopes of finding a new home. Or perhaps we should assume that this version of the Fantastic Four has nothing to do with Kevin Feige and that ship!
Things are going to go quite badly for Richards’ family and their pals. We’ll find out how bad it is when Fantastic Four: First Steps opens in theaters on July 25.
