1. Carl Lumbly joins the cast of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+ | Jo Blo
Carl Lumbly is joining the cast in an undisclosed role. But it’s rumored he’s playing Isaiah Bradley. In the comics, there was a secret WWII United States government Super-Soldier program (codenamed Project: Rebirth) and he was the second to survive the procedure and become Captain America. It’s a tragic tale based on the real-life events around the Tuskegee Syphilis Study. After surviving his first suicide mission he’s arrested for stealing the suit and put in prison.
The storyline fits in nicely with the rumored plot of the show trying to replace Falcon as Captain America partly because he’s black.
