1. Lucasfilm Has Now Denied The Report That Standalone STAR WARS Films Have Been Put On Hold via Comic Book Movie
Despite several news reports saying Disney is ditching the stand-alone “Star Wars” movies to focus on the trilogies the studio is calling them “inaccurate”.
ABC’s sources reached out to Lucasfilm who called the report “inaccurate” and “speculative at best.” In fact, they say there are “multiple” Star Wars films currently in development that have not been officially announced, that will move forward separate from Rian Johnson’s new trilogy and another series of movies from Game of Thrones producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

If a Mos Eisley movie was going to be made at some point, now it is apparently not. And just like Boba Fett and Obi-Wan’s films, if plans for it actually existed at one time, it was never officially announced. The whole thing reminds us of the case of the tree falling in the forest. If a movie that was never announced is canceled, was it even really canceled?
