Tessa Thompson related an anecdote about asking Kevin Feige for an all-female MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movie. He said it might happen.
Marvel’s been criticised for not making a Black Widow movie, but they’ve slowly been making steps toward a more diverse universe. They have Captain Marvel coming out and they’ve started highlighting more female superheroes like Tessa Thompson who plays the fierce warrior Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok
At the press junket for Thor: Ragnarok CBR related a story from Thompson. She said she approached Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige with a “group of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s female heroes” to ask about the possibility of an “all-female team-up movie” in the future. She even suggested the 1970s team Lady Liberators which included
Feige said, “It was a pretty amazing moment when your shoulder gets tapped, you turn around, and every female superhero we’ve got says, ‘How ‘bout it?’ I said yes.”
He couldn’t confirm or deny that Marvel is planning it but considering the schedule is booked up till 2020 it’ll be a while.
Nonetheless, it’s a brilliant idea. Wonder Woman’s $412,421,748 domestic box office proves that a movie focused on female characters can not only work but be as successful as any other superhero movie. In fact, it’s higher than Iron Man 3 ($409,013,994) and Captain America: Civil War ($408,084,349).
Here’s hoping Marvel puts this idea on the fast track.

A bunch of powerful, sexy super heroes? Sure! Wonder Woman already proved itself – bring on more lady super heroes.
