Everybody knows it’s hard working in an office environment, but especially if you’re a xenophobic alien bent on world destruction. That’s the premise of Dalek Gary, a web series about a Dalek from Doctor Who who ends up stranded in California, and has to get a job in an office. The idea of an alien war machine trying to navigate life in a cubicle pretty much writes itself, but there are some twists along the way, like dealing with the dating scene, and being filmed by a documentary crew that thinks he’s a migrant worker. Dalek Gary started as a successful Kickstarter campaign created by Michelle “Kenobi” Osorio, who also directed and co-wrote the series. Her YouTube channel Kill9 released all six episodes (plus blooper reels) on June 25. Here’s the first episode.
