Ant-Man (2015) – Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) |
Check out the latest posters and photos from Ant-Man and find out whether we’ll see Wasp! Ant-Man is coming and he’s the latest underdog superhero from Marvel. While the idea of an ant-sized superhero is ridiculous to most people (my wife especially) Marvel is treating it the same as the talking tree and gun-toting raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy. They’re treating it like it’s completely normal and hope fans will enjoy the ride. They’re hoping for big things from Ant-Man and have released a set of International posters and 12 new photos. Kevin Feige also confirmed that we will see Janet van Dyne (AKA Wasp) in some form.
The movie has Michael Douglas (digitally “de-aged”) in flashbacks as a a spy for S.H.I.E.L.D from the 1960s through the Cold War. His wife Janet will also be in the film as the Wasp.
While the cast is keeping details secret, Kevin Feige told MTV, “We will see Janet Van Dyne in action in this film. And part of sort of what happened to her. And then we will understand why that is the reason that he doesn’t want his daughter to follow in those footsteps. One of the reasons why he’s always so upset about superheroes in general, dismissive of them in general and also a reason why he doesn’t want her to put on the suit.”
I’m still not sure why we haven’t heard anything about Tip “T.I.” Harris and the other minority characters in Ant-Man, but hopefully it doesn’t fail the Nichols Racial Diversity Test.

Still not sure about this one, but Marvel is on a roll.
I'm not sure about this one, simply because I HATE ants!!! Cannot watch those bug shows at all! But, I may just have to rethink all that because I do love the superhero movie!
I got you Yolanda. If the movie were Rat-Man I'd never set foot in the theater. Filthy creatures
They're batting 1000 so far Alex
I'm still on the fence about this film. I'm also not a big fan of Paul Rudd, but I think the biggest thing is that it's about Ant Man. There are way cooler heroes I would have wanted to see this year.
It's a tough sell Ms. Mariah. Shrinking is the worst superpower ever but they're trying hard to make it cool. I'd prefer a Black Panther or Miles Morales movie but there you go. As for Paul Rudd I've never seen him in anything but he's got an engaging self-deprecating quality so I'm on board with his casting
