Tuvok Returns in New STAR TREK: RENEGADES Trailer

Star Trek: Renegades – Tuvok (Tim Russ)

See the new trailer for the Star Trek fan film Star Trek: Renegades! Star Trek fan films are a mixed bag with various production values, but this one looks excellent. When Voyager left the air, we were sorry that the Vulcan Tuvok wasn’t given more prominence. Well, our favorite Black Vulcan is back in Renegades. Not only is he returning, but is directing the pilot episode.

It also stars several other well-known actors in the sci-fi community like Walter Koenig (Chekov, Original Series), Adrienne Wilkinson (Xena: Warrior Princess, Star Wars: The Clone Wars),Bruce A. Young (The Sentinel, NYPD Blue), Gary Graham (Alien Nation; Soval, Enterprise), Robert Picardo (the holodoctor, Voyager), Sean Young (Blade Runner, Dune), Manu Intiraymi (Icheb, Voyager), Corin Nemec (Stargate SG-1, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose), Edward Furlong (Terminator 2: Judgement Day), Vic Mignogna (Dragonball Z, Star Trek Continues), Rico E. Anderson (Star Trek 2009, Dollhouse), Richard Herd (Voyager), Herbert Jefferson Jr (Battlestar Galactica) and Grant Imahara (Mythbusters).

    Here’s the plot synopsis:

It has been seven long years since Enterprise left the air, and though we’ve had the recent big screen adaptation of Gene Roddenberry’s futuristic vision (and the sequel coming next year), we feel the true home of Star Trek is as a continuing episodic series. The goal of this project is to make that happen. We, the team who brought you Star Trek: Of Gods and Men, are proud to announce Star Trek: Renegades, a professionally produced television pilot to be presented for a possible online series. Renegades, as the name suggests, will be bold, edgy and a little dark. Renegades will feature a combination of familiar Star Trek faces, plus a collection of hot, new rising actors.

The role of Captain Lexxa Singh will be played by Adrienne Wilkinson (Xena: Warrior Princess, Star Wars: The Clone Wars). The Renegades’ antagonist in the film, Borrada, will be played by Bruce A. Young (The Sentinel, NYPD Blue). Also currently in the cast are Walter Koenig (Chekov, Original Series), Tim Russ, Gary Graham (Alien Nation; Soval, Enterprise), Robert Picardo (the holodoctor, Voyager, Voyager), Sean Young (Blade Runner, Dune), Manu Intiraymi (Icheb, Voyager), Corin Nemec (Stargate SG-1, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose), Edward Furlong (Terminator 2: Judgement Day), Courtney Peldon (Entourage, Home Improvement), Chasty Ballesteros (Final Destination 5, The Newsroom), Kevin Fry (Eraser, Sons of Anarchy), Larissa Gomes (Saw VI, Saw 3D), actress/stunt performer Tarah Paige (Make It or Break It, Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Vic Mignogna (Dragonball Z, Star Trek Continues), Rico E. Anderson (Star Trek 2009, Dollhouse), Richard Herd (Admiral Paris, Voyager), Herbert Jefferson Jr (Battlestar Galactica) and many more!

Renegades will be a departure from previous Treks – delving into the dark side of the human psyche, pushing our heroes to their limits, forcing them to carry out actions that they never would have as Starfleet officers. The rules have changed, and they realize they might be the last hope to save the Federation. Star Trek: Renegades will be action oriented, filled with suspense and espionage; all while exploring new worlds, encountering both familiar and new alien species, and boldly going where no Trek has gone before.

If that were an official film, that would be awesome! Can't believe who they got to do the trailer.

    2. M Pax on April 8, 2015 7:16 pm

Looks fun. I'll have to check it out.

    3. Tony Laplume on April 8, 2015 7:20 pm

Looks like an improvement over Of Gods and Men, which itself was a fairly decent production.

    4. spacerguy on April 8, 2015 8:16 pm

Hopefully renegades will be a smash hit!

How much do they have to pay Paramount to look the other way?

    6. Maurice Mitchell on April 8, 2015 11:39 pm

You have to wonder but they should be safe as long as they don't charge for it.

    7. Maurice Mitchell on April 8, 2015 11:39 pm

      It deserves to be!

How come I never heard about this project… I must have been left on some planet with Khan and no connection to the outside. Tuvok was totally underrated as an important part to the history of Trek, his story should be shared and I welcome him back… now I have to find out more about this indie-film.

what a nightmare —kate should be ashamed of behaving like that .
She does not understand what star trek is .
      Shameful, just shameful..

      Jerri is amazing actress.

Yeh! Im in, if Tuvok is back then I'm watching! He looks B.A! The fx don't look that bad either. I can't believe these folks are willing to come back and keep on doing this, I'm grateful for their efforts! not to mention Robert Picardo who I 'very slowly' grew to love. I really hope this gets off the ground with a good fair flight.

Read interviews from other stars of the show, fool. She came down hard on the new person when she should have come down on the producers.
