10. ‘Spidey Suit’ Heads From Broadway To The National Museum of American History (via Huffington Post)
The “Spider-Man Turn off the Dark” musical shut it’s doors this week. The suit from the biggest, and most expensive, flop on Broadway is
headed for the museum. Should this show be part of history?
9. Year-End: Top 10 Domestic Grossers Of 2013 – ‘Iron Man 3′ Is No. 1, ‘Frozen’ Surges & Overtakes ‘Gravity’ For 6th Spot
(via Deadline)
Are you surprised by the 2013 winners?
8. Bad AT-AT (Nerd Approved)
Would you have a little AAT-AT as a pet?
7. Correlation: Box Office Performance and Passing Bechdel Test (via io9)
Wikipedia says, “The Bechdel test asks whether a work of fiction features at least two women who talk to each other about something other than a man. Many contemporary works fail this test of gender bias.” Does a gender bias lead to a more successful movie?
6. Actors Rumored for Green Lantern (Comic Book Movie)
Two separate actors have been rumored to be in the running to play Green Lantern (John Stewart ) in the Man of Steel sequel. Denzel Washington and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Both are equally ridiculous.
5. Fisher and Shatner continue the Trek vs. Wars feud (Via Blastr)
They met for coffee…
4. Patrick Stewart Explains How to Moo (The Mary Sue)
3. The Dark Knight Batman Armory with Bruce and Alfred (via Jo Blo)
2. James Avery Passes Away at 68 (via Screenrant)
James Avery died this week and he’s best known for Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but he was also the voice for Shredder on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series and Rhodey in the Iron Man cartoon from the mid 1990s. He was also on Star Trek: Enterprise.
1. Bigfoot Shot and Killed, Now On Tour (via io9)
Supposedly this is a picture of Bigfoot. Monster hunter Rick Dyer shot him and is taking the body on tour. The Bigfoot from Six Million Dollar man looks more realistic to me.
What makes you think this MIGHT be a fake?

Definitely fake. And I remember that Six Million Man episode. Think there were two of them?
Iron Man III was also number one world wide at over a billion dollars. Think Despicable Me II was second.
Congrats on the new addition! Denzel is a little old for Green Lantern but then I thought that about Affleck too. Hasn't anyone suggested Idris Elba yet? If not, I just did. If not any of those guys they can always find some rapper who wants to do a movie.
Congrats on the new addition! I'm tired just thinking about a baby. Couldn't imagine having another one now.
Those Green Lantern choices seem… against type. I'd rather see an unknown in the role myself. I'm sure they can find a good one. Going with stars for all these roles does not fill me with confidence.
And I love the AT-AT picture. I'd have one in a heartbeat. As long as it didn't shoot up the walls with it's blaster mandible things.
And the top grossing movies of the year. I don't think I'm terribly surprised. Given the budgets of some of those movies though, I'm not sure how much of a profit things like Star Trek actually turned over during it's domestic run, given marketing budgets (which typically aren't included in estimates on the film's costs) and I almost think it barely broke even.
Congrats!
I found out what caused my 2 kids, and decided to quit it.
I have an AT-AT like that, but mine is missing the side door.
I'm with Pat they need Idris Elba to be the Green Lantern, unless they bring him in as Hal Jordan then anyone other than Ryan Reynolds. He shot himself in the foot with RIPD. *shivers uncontrollably*
James Avery was outstanding in his voice work and acting.
Congratulations DAD! I think Carrie Fisher got the upper hand on Shatner. I can't believe uncle Phil is gone. These guys will live on forever.
Thanks Spacerguy! Yeah, I couldn't believe it either. He was a great man.
Probably three Alex. It's been a great year for Marvel.
I just can't see Denzel playing a superhero, but you're right that the casting has been beyond surprising Pat. Will Smith or Elba would be an inspired choice, so I'm hoping someone is listening. Yeah there haven't been any big surprises at the box office this year.
You're my new hero for that AT-AT David. Yeah Reynolds future isn't looking good. Avery's voice is was very distinctive. A great loss.
Why would you shoot Bigfoot???
I'd argue that someone playing a different Green Lantern is fully in keeping with the franchise.
Nathan Fillion does the voice for Hal Jordan in most of the DC Animated stuff, it wouldn't be a stretch for him to play the live version.
