The original Star Wars trilogy is a classic, and I’m endlessly fascinated by the images taken during the filming. To see C-3PO drinking coffee or the AT-ATs being positioned onset is a reminder that real people worked hard to create the incredible vision we saw on the screen. That’s why this collection is such a treat. All the images you could ever want for the making of the movie. And there are 1,138 of them. Poetic.

The one where C3PO looked like the robot from Metropolis was interesting…
It just strikes me that even before it was a hit these guys while they were making it had to know they were making history. These pictures almost beg for a movie about the making of the first movie.
