my chance. The costume is a secret, but I’ll share pics on Twitter this

hint: He’s a black superhero. You’re welcome to guess in the comments,
but I doubt you’ll get it. 😉 If you’re in Phoenix Tweet me at

funny. Both Damon Lindelof and J.J. Abrams have apologized saying it was gratuitous, but pointed out there was a scene with Chris Pine in his underwear and a deleted scene with Cumberbatch in the shower. Do you feel it was wrong?

- Doctor Who “The Name
of
the Doctor”
Plot: Clara is summoned to an impossible
conference call, alerting her that the deadly Whisper Men are closing
in on Vastra, Jenny and Strax. Someone is kidnapping the Doctor’s
friends, leading him toward the one place in all of time and space that
he should never go. It’s a deadly trap that threatens to unravel his
past, present and future…
Fans have said this is the worst season of Doctor Who and most have not been
memoreable. This episode made up for it by bringing back all the
recurring characters this season. It was deeply emotional and
surprising. The reveal of what happens when a Time Lord dies was epic,
and seeing all eleven Doctors from archival footage and body doubles
was great. I believed Clara was The Doctors daughter, but I like the
real explanation better. Plus, we got to see River Song which is always
great. Ironically we never did find out the Doctors name, but I
can’t wait for the anniversary episode in November.

- Revolution “Clue”
Plot: A captive Nora
(Daniella
Alonso) is tortured and left for dead. Monroe (David Lyons) learns of
Rachael’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) attempt to reach the Tower but is
unaware of her deadly plan for him. Meanwhile, Miles (Billy Burke) is
desperate to find out how so many of his close associates are being
brutally murdered. Later, Miles, Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos), Neville
(Giancarlo Esposito), Jason, (JD Pardo) Hudson (Malik Yoba) and Sanborn
(Leland Orser) struggle to make it out of the Plains Nation to join
Rachel and save her from what they believe to be certain death. Also
starring, Zak Orth, Colm Feore
This is another so-so episode, although the scene with
Nora
being tortured and holding out for over two weeks was brutal and showed
her loyalty. The discovery of a mole was predictable since there
was only two people who could it could be. I also came to the
realization that Charlie is completely useless to the show. Revolution was promoted to make her
the main character, but she knows nothing, does nothing and has no
useful skills.
- The Big Bang Theory
“The
Bon Voyage Reaction”
Plot: A new success for
Leonard
makes Sheldon very jealous and throws Penny for a loop. Meanwhile,
Koothrappali pushes Lucy too far in their relationship, on the sixth
season finale of THE BIG BANG THEORY.
This was a hysterical episode and helped explain a nagging question: Why
wasn’t Sheldon jealous of Wolowitz for going in space? “Monkeys have
gone into space.” I’m sorry Lucy is gone, but I guess she
wouldn’t have fit in anyway. Some have speculated that Leonard is
leaving the show next season which would be insane. A good end to the
season though.
MOVIES
- Star Trek Into Darkness
(2013)
I hate writing reviews because I can’t think of anything others
haven’t said. It’s a great movie that really establishes that
Kirk
deserves the chair. Cumberbatch is the perfect villain and the action
scenes are amazing. It’s a
great followup and I’m sure the Klingons will be back.
.
SPOILER ALERT
.
A couple of spoiler
thoughts. First, Cumberbatch makes a great Khan even though he’s not
Hispanic. The Kirk plot device was ridiculous. So now, McCoy can make a
magic potion to bring people back from the dead? Head to Tony’s blog if
you want to know more about the series
history of Section 31. Where did it first appear?

That's one big X-Wing Fighter.
I didn't think the underwear scene was gratuitous. Open a JC Penney catalog. Oh wait, they don't make those anymore.
Have a great weekend, guys!
The reason people felt the underwear scene was gratuitous was because there was no context for her to be stripping. She does it for no explained reason.
Love the X-Wing. Legos makes everything cooler.
I agree that the last episode of Doctor Who was pretty fantastic, though I have to disagree that it makes up for the previous season. I've been waiting for people to catch on that this is how Steven Moffat works, he'll have a great hook at the beginning of the season, and then a so-so season, but with a great capstone that makes people think he's amazing. The reason this season completely failed was because he decided to try and get back to doing individual stories, which is not his strength. As such I felt that none of the writers really knew what to do with Clara and moved her around like a set piece through each episode. Because of the lack of setup, the one thing Moffat usually does well, I feel that the last episode, while good, was too quick.
Still the episode was great and I hope John Hurt ends up being the Valeyard (an opinion I'm quite vocal about, haha)
You make a good point about Moffat, since he's been really uneven this season. The beginning and end episodes were good, but it felt lost in between.
Snowmen was good, but Hide was pathetic. The titles, like Centre, promised a lot but delivered little
I'm tempted, but REFUSE to Google Valeyard because I want the surprise. I know it will be good.
It is stereotypical Melissa. I never thought of it that way. Just the fact that it's so easy to find the picture shows how salacious it is. Thanks for the female perspective. Congrats on the You Rock award by the way!
I appreciate your strength of will not to look up Valeyard as well as not to do a River impression and state "spoilers". Though really it's just a theory that's who he is. Could be way off. Anyway I'm not sure how much of a spoiler it is if the character was part of the old series.
I think the Spoiler is he a new character, or an old reinvented character. My thoughts are he is new. Moffat did say it would change Doctor Who.
I enjoyed Star Trek Into Darkness the ending almost seemed forced. The gratuitous
underwear was funny! (I am a little biased)
*looks over shoulder for wife*
I saw your costume. That was cool. So did only 1 of you go to the con? As for the underwear costume, I believe in compensation; if there's a scantily clad chick shot there has to be a scantily clad dude and vice-versa. I mean women (and gay dudes) pay to watch the movie too.
All the blog writings are exquisite. The more I read, the more fall under the spell of them.lego storage tables
