‘Alphas’ Back For Season Two, Five Stages of ‘Star Wars’ Grief, ‘BSG: Blood and Chrome’ Web Only, ‘The Thing’ Clip Goes Boo [Links]

Alphas Officially Confirmed For Season Two

The SyFy show Alphas has officially been renewed. This is great! I love that show. Frankly, I wasn’t holding much hope the show would make it to a second season. We geeks are a jaded bunch.

Which character are you looking forward to seeing come back?

I’m in Number Four of The Five Stages of Star Wars Grief

Use this handy chart to see what stage of grief you’re on when it comes to the changes to Star Wars coming on Blu-Ray next week.

I like everyone else on the Internet was horrified by the changes. After getting some counseling I’ve come to the conclusion Star Wars will never again be as I remember it. I’m in a good place now. I still cry every day, but not for as long.

    ‘The Thing’ Clip Goes Boo

A new clip from The Thing (2011) was released and it definitely grabs your attention. All I’ll say is you’re guaranteed to jump at least once. Director Matthijs van Heijningen Jr.’s prequel to John Carpenter’s claustrophobic horror film The Thing, about a group of people trapped with a shape-shifting alien opens in the U.S. on October 14.

Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome May Be Web Only

Looks like SyFy got spooked over their disastrous BSG spin-off Caprica. The new prequel series Blood and Chrome will most likely never see the light of a television set.

The series, which follows the early days of the Human-Cylon war, may have been the best chance of ever getting another good BSG show. We’ll always have NetFlix my friend.

Toss-Up: Which would you rather have: An awesome BSG show on the Internet OR a bad one on TV?

Not surprised the BG series got axed. Rather see an awesome one on the Internet than a bad one on TV though.

I must admit I've become addicted to Alphas. I've liked other syfy shows but never enough to remember to watch them each week. Gary cracks me up.

I absolutely love Alphas. It's one of my favorite shows and I did a post about it on my blog.  I think Gary is awesome but I followed him from Bones.
