Currently starring in Rise of the Planet of the Apes Freida Pinto is an exotic Indian beauty all her own.
Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India she starred in several commercials before becoming a model.
Her big break came in 2008 when she starred in Slumdog Millionaire. Besides becoming a household name, she and her costars won a Screen Actors Guild Award for “Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.”
She got her “Geek Card” by co-starring in the 2011 science-fiction reboot Rise of the Planet of the Apes as primatologist Caroline.
Next up, she’ll play in the 2011 fantasy-action-drama film, Immortals.
