Discover the first official LEGO Star Trek collaboration: build the stunning 3,600-piece U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D set, complete with crew minifigures, exclusive launch bonuses, and collector appeal.

LEGO has been making figures and sets based on the Star Wars franchise since 1998. But this is the first time they’ve made an official LEGO Star Trek set. After decades of Star Wars dominance, LEGO’s collaboration with Disney signifies its boldest franchise expansion. This pivot is the most significant since the Star Wars LEGO partnership. That rescued LEGO from bankruptcy in the late 1990s, generating billions and setting a precedent for entertainment licensing deals.

    Here’s the official announcement:

BILLUND, DENMARK – 6th November 2025: Today, the LEGO Group, in partnership with Paramount Products & Experiences, unveils the highly anticipated LEGO® Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D™. This intricate model invites Star Trek and LEGO fans to embark on a galactic voyage of creativity, building a detailed replica of Starfleet’s legendary flagship.

Made from 3,600 pieces, the LEGO Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D™ set allows builders to craft a detailed replica of the iconic starship, complete with a detachable command saucer, secondary hull, and warp nacelles with distinctive red and blue detailing. The model also features an opening shuttlebay and two mini shuttlepods, perfect for recreating classic scenes.

Designed as a captivating sci-fi decor piece, the set comes with an angled display stand featuring an information plaque for the U.S.S. Enterprise model, plus a minifigure display tile with Star Trek: The Next Generation branding.

Besides the enormous size, the LEGO set includes minifigures of the main Next Gen crew. This includes Captain Picard (teacup), Will Riker (trombone), Data (cat Spot), Geordi La Forge (engineering case), Worf (phaser), Beverly Crusher (tricorder), Wesley Crusher (portable tractor beam), Deanna Troi (her cleavage and PADD), and Guinan (bottle). Notably, Tasha Yar, Miles O’Brien, and Katherine Pulaski are missing but may appear in another set or be sold separately.

    Early Buyer Bonus

Additionally, the firm will offer a limited-edition, 261-piece Shuttlepod Onizuka gift-with-purchase brick set. It contains an exclusive Ensign Ro Laren minifigure for fans who buy the Enterprise-D set during the first three days (November 28–December 1) on LEGO.com or at LEGO shops.

Embark on an iconic voyage of creation with this LEGO Icons Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod™ model kit for adults and fans of the Star Trek: The Next Generation series. This minifigure-scale support craft comes with opening wing doors and a rear hatch.

Exterior details include the vehicle name, Onizuka, and the interior features a depiction of an LCARS system display with the Stardate 45076.3 and a schematic of a Romulan spacecraft. This set also includes an Ensign Ro Laren minifigure.

    The Star Trek Shuttlepod model (#40768) in this 261-piece building set measures 2.5″ x 4.5″ x 3.5″.

Lastly, a new campaign that begins today and goes through December 1 gives LEGO Insiders members a chance to win a free Enterprise-D LEGO Icons building set signed by Jonathan Frakes (Commander Will Riker).

The LEGO construction set is cheaper than Star Wars sets. For comparison, the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) features 7,541 pieces and costs more than double the price at $849.99 USD. Other large sets like the Millennium Falcon and Hogwarts Castle both retail in the $400–$850 range.

This LEGO Icons USS Enterprise-D set will debut in LEGO stores and online at LEGO.com beginning November 28, priced at $399.99 / €379.99 / £349.99.
