    About Daredevil #10

    • Written by Chip Zdarsky
    • Artwork by Marco Checchetto
    • Color by Matthew Wilson
    • Official Synopsis: THE RED FIST SAGA, PART 10A TURNING POINT! With Elektra at his side, Matt Murdock has launched his most ambitious campaign against injustice EVER, but as recent explosive and destructive events have unfolded, he has found himself more and more isolated—and with fewer allies than ever before…LEGACY #658″
    • On Sale Date: April 26, 2023
    • U.S. Price: $4.99

Matt Murdock is fighting to save what’s left of his life. He has his wife Elektra. Everything else is falling apart. He’s the king of the Ninja group The Fist but they’re slowly losing the battle against The Hand. The evil ninjas have replaced world leaders with their puppets including the president of the United States. His dreams of making a better world are destroyed. He and his wife are on the run from the Avengers who think she killed the president. Daredevil and Elektra make their last stand on his island but it was bombed by the STROMWYN siblings and is crumbling around them.

The Fist, led by Elektra, fights a furious battle against Captain America (Steve Rogers), Iron Man, Valkyrie (Jane Foster), and Black Panther. The battle between her, Stegron the Dinosaur Man and the Agony symbiote against the Avengers is epic and the panels often explode against the confines of the page. Matthew Wilson’s colors crackle and really drive home the power of the story.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man faces off against his good friend Daredevil who tries to talk Matt into giving themselves up. Zdarsky Eisner winning runs with Spider-Man makes him understand Peter Parker. Spider-Man’s innate sense of justice and responsibility clashes with Matt’s desperation and belief that evil is incarnate and must be destroyed no matter what the cost. The dialogue between these old friends is powerful and heart-breaking.

In the end, the Man Without Fear searches for the Book Of The Fist in hopes of changing his destiny. He finds it and something unexpected as well. I won’t spoil the ending but it’s a huge crisis of faith as Matt struggles to hold onto his faith that God has a plan for him.

Chip Zdarsky does a great job of forcing Matt Murdock and Elektra Natchios to face the consequences of all their actions so far in The Red Fist Saga. From start to finish, Daredevil #10 is a phenomenal comic. The way the Avengers are deployed makes the story’s villains the greatest threats Daredevil has ever faced. Everything that happens is highlighted by Marco Checchetto’s masterful artwork, giving Daredevil #10 the feel of a grand event.
