Discover why Alien: Earth is a must-watch 2025 sci-fi series with exclusive creator insights and thrilling storytelling.

The series, created by Noah Hawley, has attracted significant attention for its unique combination of horror, sci-fi, and human drama. Following its finale, Alien Earth has achieved considerable success, reaching #2 on the JustWatch US Streaming Charts, surpassing popular shows like Task and Peacemaker.

The actors and filmmakers of the show explained why it’s not simply another franchise film but rather a must-see event in an exclusive with JustWatch.

Noah Hawley on the Vision Behind Alien Earth

“In some ways, the show is an escape. It’s action, horror, and science fiction entertainment. It’s bigger than life and also a fairy tale about how children grow up. But there’s also an urgency to it because it feels like you’re looking at your own future and the future of this planet, and it’s troublesome. So I think you can both escape into it or leave it with things to think about.”  — Noah Hawley, Director

Timothy Olyphant on Scale and Substance

“This show is really smart and really entertaining. Usually, when you get something this vast, you don’t get something this grounded. The combination of those two things makes it a great show, and I’m very proud to be a part of it.” — Timothy Olyphant, Kirsh

Sydney Chandler on Fans Old and New

“People who have never explored the world of Alien will really enjoy this piece because it will be fresh and new. For the people who already enjoy the Alien franchise, I hope they will feel the love, honor, and respect that Noah and this entire production have for the original film and the franchise as a whole, while also being able to experience something pretty unique. It’s a really cool show!” — Sydney Chandler, Wendy

David W. Zucker on a Story That Transcends Genre

“This show is a genre piece in every dimension. It is horror in many different iterations while also being a thriller. Ultimately, it is an innately human story and one that is truly irresistible.” — David W. Zucker, Producer

Although the second season of “Alien: Earth” has not yet been renewed, Noah Hawley, the show’s creator, believes it will happen soon.

Noah Hawley stated in an interview with Polygon recently, “Given the success of the show, I’m pretty confident that we’ll get to make more.” he also expressed his hope that season 2 will be confirmed as soon as possible to the Hollywood Reporter.

“I sincerely hope that it won’t be a lengthy game of ‘Can we do this again?'” “I definitely hope to hear back from them in the coming months regarding whether I should find another job or return to work,” he stated.

What did you think of the Alien: Earth finale? Would you look forward to a second season.
