One deadly species is more than enough for humanity to handle in the Alien films. In actuality, it’s nearly always excessive. Almost everyone passes away eventually. However, the people in Alien: Earth, which premieres on FX on August 12, will face more than just that famous xenomorph. Four more deadly beasts have also hit the planet. Let the fun start.
Noah Hawley’s Alien: Earth offers a fresh perspective on the genre popularized by Ridley Scott and James Cameron. It describes the events that follow a ship crash on Earth. But that is only one aspect of a larger story of scientific attempts to improve and extend life, which ends with one company implanting the mind of ill youngsters into the bodies of adult robots. Indeed. There are several. And everything is shown in this brand-new trailer.
The way all these elements come together is effectively outlined in this trailer. A scientific race to prolong human life is taking place on Earth in the episode. This resulted in the development of synthetics, or “humanoid robots with artificial intelligence,” cyborgs, or “humans with both biological and artificial parts,” and hybrids, or “humanoid robots infused with human consciousness,” made possible by a business named Prodigy.
Sydney Chandler plays that role. When a team of hybrids, led by Wendy, is dispatched to investigate the crash of the Weyland-Yutani deep space research vessel USCSS Maginot, they have no idea what they’re getting into. After acquiring and returning with five distinct alien species for its parent company, the Maginot crashed for an unknown reason. How might something have gone wrong?
We hope you are as excited about Alien: Earth as we are. In the upcoming weeks, we’ll have a lot more information about the show, including in-depth reports on its appearance at San Diego Comic-Con.
