Disney+ recently unveiled teasers for its late 2025 schedule, which includes both new and returning series like The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, the highly anticipated small-screen debut of the Alien franchise, the King of the Hill sequel, Marvel’s Wonder Man, and many more.
Naturally, the MCU series is our most anticipated, with the majority of the other new projects following closely behind. Fans can catch a glimpse of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’s Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the Wonder Man show as Simon Williams, a power-wielding actor and stunt performer who tries out for the main part in a superhero television show. Very meta, of course.
Despite the brief 60-second preview, Wonder Man offers a thrilling and action-packed video, with iconic actor Ben Kingsley playing a supporting role.
He’ll reprise his role as Trevor Slattery, a failing actor who the Ten Rings group kidnapped and then made the court jester for the immortal warlord Xu Wenwu. In addition to their conversation, we see what appears to be an audition scene and a heated scene on set. This short teaser shows that Simon was “born to play this character” (prior teasers have shown that Simon is an actor trying out for the lead role in the film “Wonder Man”).
In this series, Marvel Studios is reimagining the Avenger. We see a taste of his abilities as he destroys a table with ease before losing control and apparently destroying an entire building.
There’s a notable character missing, though. Demetrius Grosse, who plays the super-villain Eric Williams / Grim Reaper. Although he doesn’t appear in this preview, we can’t help but wonder if this iteration of the character will co-star with Simon in “Wonder Man.” Maybe the piece’s antagonist?
“Wonder Man is eight episodes.” Brad Winderbaum, Marvel’s Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation, recently revealed, “It’s a very new flavor for Marvel. It’s straight from the minds of Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest. Honestly, it is one of my favorite things ever.”
“I think it’s the best show no one’s ever seen, and I’m very excited to see the audience reaction to it,” he teased. “I think it’s a love letter to what we do as filmmakers. It’s a love letter to acting as a profession, and it’s a very sincere, beautiful show.”
Fans outside of Wonder Man will be even more excited for the show after watching that Alien: Earth clip. In addition to Sydney Chandler, the story’s protagonist and the first robot-human hybrid, fans get a peek at the spacecraft that crashes on Earth, starting the entire plot.
Fans can also anticipate season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, season 5 of Only Murders in the Building, and the new series Chad Powers with Glen Powell and Ryan Murphy’s legal thriller All’s Fair, all of which will be featured in the thrilling sizzle.
