Billy Dee Williams at Premiere of “Solo: A Star Wars Story” |
See video of actor Billy Dee Williams training for the upcoming movie “Star Wars: Episode IX”.
Lucasfilm recently confirmed Billy Dee Williams will be coming back as Lando Calrissian in Star Wars: Episode IX. Now the 81-year old actor has shared a video of his training for the role.
William December “Billy Dee” Williams Jr. is an actor, artist, and singer. Williams is best known for his role as Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars films and first appeared in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back back in 1980.
The video shows Williams boxing with personal trainer Gunnar Peterson. “I can’t think of a better to start my day,” he said on his personal Twitter account. “Feeling fit, healthy and better than ever. Taking care of body and mind go hand-in-hand.”
While he looks winded by the exercise we don’t know how long he was working out or what other exercises he’s doing.
Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher did an intensive diet and exercise regimen when they prepared for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.
I’m excited to see the return of the Lando and this is a great start.
