“Ant-Man and The Wasp”: Top 9 Mind-Blowing Moments from the New Trailer

Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) Hope van Dyne / The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), Scott Lang / Ant-Man (Paul Rudd)

The new trailer for “Ant-Man and the Wasp” has arrived and it’s a big deal. Marvel Studios has released the newest trailer for “Ant-Man 2”, known as “Ant-Man and the Wasp” and it’s just as fun, crazy and mind-blowing as the original.

    Watch it below:

    1. Scott and his Daughter

The movie opens with his daughter Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson) sitting in her room. She knows he’s the superhero Ant-Man and wants to help people too. In the comics, Cassie becomes a superhero too. She goes by many names like Stature, Stinger, Ant-Girl, and Giant-Girl.

It’s a touching moment. His relationship with his little girl is a big part of the first movie and it’s great to see it coming back.

Scott says he always screws things up. “Maybe you just need a partner!” she says. “Someone to watch your back.”

    2. Ant-Man Car Chase

There are a couple of amazing car chases in the trailer. The first shows Scott using a truck as a scooter and using his size to overpower thieves who have stolen Hank Pym’s building.

    3. Wasp Car Chase

Wasp fights inside a car and uses her shrinking ability to destroy them.

    4. Quantum Realm

Several scenes show the sub-atomic world known as the “Quantum Realm” and it looks beautiful and creepy.

    5. Ghost

The ethereal supervillain Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen, makes an appearance and it looks like she’s got a bag of tricks and a tragic backstory.

    6. Luis is Back

Luis and his crew is back and they’ve moved out of his apartment and has an office now. “Who’d have thought that in your hour of need you’d turn to us?” Luis says. “Because we robbed you. You remember that?” Yes we do.

    7. Giant Salt

The two often use their size-shifting devices to make things big and small. Hope’s use of a simple salt shaker to block a doorway is my new favorite.

    8. Ant Drums

The trailer is set to the song “It Takes Two” by Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock. in one shot we see a human-sized ant playing the drums. The first movie shows the ants doing various tricks but nothing like this.

    9. Comparing Sizes

Laurence Fishbourne plays Dr. Bill Foster and it looks like they go to him for advice. In the comics, Bill Foster is a research scientist who works with Henry Pym and takes on the role of Giant-Man.

Scott asks Bill the biggest he’s ever gotten. Foster says “21 feet” and Scott says he got up to 65 feet. The two laugh before Hope says “if you guys are done comparing SIZES!”

This movie looks amazingly fun and I can’t wait to see it! It’s coming in a few months!

    About Ant-Man and the Wasp

Official synopsis: “From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: “Ant-Man and The Wasp.” In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.”
