New “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” Trailer, Movie Poster and Stills

Many tuned into Monday Night Football for the matchup between the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings. Others tuned into the half-time show for the release of the highly anticipated trailer for Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. The new trailer gives us our best look yet at Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Daisy Ridley as Rey, Adam Driver as Ben Solo Kylo Ren and Carrie Fisher’s last performance as Princess Leia. Also, we get our first good look at Supreme leader Snoke played by Andy Serkis.

“I’ve seen this raw strength only once before. It didn’t scare me enough then,” Skywalker says as he watches Rey use the Force. “It does now.”

The trailer also includes shots of battles with new ships on new planets and in space and ends with  Kylo Ren seemingly reaching out his hand to Rey. “I need someone to show me my place in all this,” Rey says as the trailer closes. Yes, shipping for Ren and Rey (#Reylo) is a thing.

The trailer got huge reactions on social media and was a top trending topic yesterday. According to #Hashtags.org, there were an estimated 150,000 tweets per hour using the hashtag #TheLastJedi. The trailer itself pulled in more than 300,000 views on YouTube in less than 30 minutes.
