Here’s another sneak peek at the beautiful costume designs of Black Panther. We’ve already seen the incredibly beautiful costume designs for the upcoming Black Panther movie, but here is one more.

Last night Lena Waithe won an Emmy for outstanding writing for a comedy series on Master of None. She’s the first African-American Woman to win an award in this category.

To celebrate, Ruth E. Carter, the costume designer for the upcoming Marvel superhero film posted a design from the movie on her personal Instagram account @iamruthecarter saying, “In honor of @LenaWaithe and her awesome win tonight lm [sic] breaking the code of silence and posting 1 Warrior woman costume sketch from Black Panther! This is for the Warrior in you Lena!!”

Cater is an African American costume designer who’s been nominated many times for Oscars and Emmys for films like Malcolm X (1992) and Amistad (1997). Now she’s tackling the afro-futurism in Black Panther.

It’s amazing and captures so many distinctly African details like the neck rings of the South Ndebele peoples of Africa.

    ABOUT BLACK PANTHER (2018)

Official Synopsis: “After the events of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, King T’Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country’s new leader. However, T’Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakanadan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.”
