Jurassic Park (1993),Jurassic World (2014) comparison

Here are all the scenes from the Jurassic World trailers that look like scenes from Jurassic Park. Over the weekend the new Jurassic World Super Bowl commercial was released with new footage. The trailer looks familiar because a bunch of scenes from look like those in the first film. Jurassic World is the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park film series but director Colin Trevorrow pays homage to the original film in many ways. If you liked the first Jurassic Park film you might like the fourth. Jurassic World picks up twenty-two years after Jurassic Park in a fully functional amusement park on Isla Nublar that sees more than 20,000 visitors every day. A new genetically modified hybrid dinosaur escapes and runs wild on the island.

Here’s a bunch of scenes that are clearly based on the original.

Both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World show gates of the park opening

In both films there’s a shot of dinosaur eggs

Both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World  show an insect in amber

Both films show a dinosaur chasing someone

Both movies show children being attacked by a dinosaur

Both films show an open field of running dinosaurs

Both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World show a sick dinosaur

Both films show someone being menaced by a large dinosaur head

Here’s the official synopsis: “Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar, off of Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. This new park is owned by the Masrani Global Corporation. Owen (Chris Pratt), a member of the park’s on-site staff, conducts behavioral research on the Velociraptors. At the corporation’s request, the park’s geneticists create a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur to boost visitor attendance, but it soon runs wild on the island”

Directed by Colin Trevorrow and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, BD Wong, Irrfan Khan

How do you feel about Jurassic World? Do you think it’ll be as good as the original? Which is your favorite from the series?

I'm glad it's gone back to the original because that one was the best and Iike Pratt.

I guess they figured it worked in the first one.
I still remember seeing it in the theaters for the first time and being blown away.

I'm not sure how this movie will measure up, but I do know that I'll definitely see it. I saw the first one in the theater as a kid, and it was a great experience for me. I really want to enjoy this new one, and Chris Pratt is definitely a good sign.
