Director Neill Blomkamp has brought us a new vision of science fiction with his movies District 9 and Elysium. Now he’s set to return with a new movie, Chappie. The movie reminds me of Short Circuit meets Robocop with a South African accent. Here’s the second action-packed and still cute trailer.
Here’s the summary:
After being kidnapped by two criminals during birth, Chappie becomes the adopted son in a strange and dysfunctional family. Chappie is preternaturally gifted, one of a kind, a prodigy. He also happens to be a robot.
Starring Hugh Jackman and Sigourney Weaver, Chappie hits theaters on March 6, 2015.
What do you think of Chappie?

Funny you should say Short Circuit. At one time I thought it was a remake.
Hugh Jackman is doing another movie with robots? Maybe he should teach Chappie how to box.
Looks like another depressing dystopian. I think Blomkamp needs to branch out and do something new.
Hugh plays the bad guy! Awesome!
My son cried at Short Circuit, when they blew him up, or his double, but I felt like the worst mother in the world! LOL
Yeah, grown up short circuit and robo cop fight, says it all!
I know, Hugh's going against type
I felt like the worst father in the world when I showed my eight year old "Revenge of the Sith" and Vader popped out the lightsaber on the little kids.
Johnny 5 Is ALIVE! It's so Short Circuit.
This movie looks like sh*t. I'll stick with the original Robocop film and District 9.
