THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 1 Viral Marketing Campaign Heats Up [Movies]

Here are the highlights from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 viral marketing campaign! Lionsgate began ramping up the viral marketing campaign with a message from President Snow a few weeks back.

Here’s the first viral video “Together As One”:

The video is incredibly popular and got 1.06 million views in its first
week on YouTube. It’s over 9 million now.

They also shared a series of posters highlighting the
“District Heroes” of Panem from the Technology (3), Lumber (7),
Livestock (10), Grain (9), Mining (12), Fishing (4) and Transportation
    (6) Districts. The most heart-wrenching is the one of the little girl
    working in the mines.

Yesterday, another video was released along with that spotlights
President Snow (Donald Sutherland) along with
Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Joanna Mason (Jena Malone). There’s also a surprise appearance of
    Jeffrey
    Wright
as Beetee. For me, that character was underused in the last
film and I’m looking forward to seeing a minority take on more of a
role in the films. There was a small, but vocal, group of fans that
complained his character was changed from white to black for the movie. Personally, his performance was the most memoreable part and I didn’t have a problem with it.

    Here’s the latest video “Unity”:

Here’s an official statement from the Capitol

    CITIZENS OF PANEM:

Never have we been more unified as a nation. The Capitol and the
districts are bound together in solidarity, striving to forge a
    stronger future.

To commemorate this resolve, the Capitol mandates your viewing of
President Snow’s Second Panem Address: “Unity.”

Admire your President’s official portrait and watch this latest address
now at www.TheCapitol.PN, then voice your Capitol Concerns to further
improve communication throughout this great nation.

Panem today, Panem tomorrow, Panem forever.

Didn't care for the first one, so doubt I'll watch this one.

Never had any interest in this series (books or movies) past the first one. But all my female "friends" on Facebook are stoked I'm sure.
