A few weeks back I finally caught Wreck
It Ralph, and can say it is one of the most heart-warming
movies I’ve seen in a long time.
Wreck It Ralph (2012) follows the adventures of the video game character “Wreck
It Ralph” (John C. Reilly), who’s the villain of the game Fix It Felix Jr. which
is a clone of Donkey Kong.
Ralph is tired of being a hated outsider living in a garbage dump, so
he goes to another video game to get a medal and be a hero. On the way,
he visits the racing game
Sugar Rush and the annoyingly glitchy Vanellope von
Schweetz (Sarah Silverman). Fix‑It Felix (Jack McBrayer)
and Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch) from Hero’s Duty, head into the game to find
Ralph and save all the games in the arcade from the evil Cybugs.
All Pixar movies are great (except for Cars 2 of course)
but this one reminded me a lot of Toy
Story. Besides bringing back great memories of classic
retro games like Q Bert
and Street Fighter,
it also had a great internal logic for what happens behind the video
game screen.
Update: Tony reminded me that this movie was made by Disney, not Pixar. Go Disney!
The voice acting is great and all the characters have a
lot of life, especially the childishly hilarious Sarah Silverman.
Visually, the movie is astonishingly beautiful, especially
the saccharine world of Sugar Rush.
After the movie, I wanted to run to the arcade!
I loved this movie a lot, which is why I’m excited about this giveaway.

I've heard nothing but good things about this film. Shame it didn't win the Oscar.
i want to see it… so maybe i will win or score or both…
I might enter that but I don't have a blu-ray player. Anyway, I should see that at some point just for all the old video game references.
I took my kids to see it a few weeks ago. What a fantastic movie! It is definitely worth owning.
I haven't seen this yet, but I was surprised Wreck It Ralph lost.
I missed out on watching this on the big screen. I'll have to find another way to watch it now!

Sounds like a fun movie. I'll have to add it to my list.
Looks and sounds exciting, I'm curious why Ralph's crew is running scared. Great cartoon image.
This wasn't done by Pixar.
Totally right Tony! It just goes to show Disney is moving up.
They're running for a good reason SpacerGuy! Watch and see.
It's a "Must Watch" Mary!
I'm sure it'll be in Netflix and Redbox soon Nutschell.
I was too Colin. But it won 5 "Annie" awards, so maybe that makes up for it.
I think it's a really fun movie for kids Jessica. I wonder how young is too young for this film?
That's one of the best parts Pat. Even the fake games are fun to watch.
You never know Jeremy. There are plenty of ways to win.
Alex, it is sad. I haven't seen Brave, but is it really better?
