Richard “Jaws” Kiel as the Terminator? John Wayne as Superman? Artist Peter Stults has created a collection of seventeen movie posters of modern movies if they were made in the fifties, sixties, and seventies. They are all hilarious and wonderfully accurate. Scroll through the gallery below.
What did you think of the posters? Which is your favorite?

James Dean in Drive – I'll buy that. McQueen in Terminator though? Nimoy in Die Hard was a laugh out loud moment – can't picture him saying yippee-ki-ya…
I shudder to think of those as real movies. Charles Bronson would have made a better "Die Hard."
What excites me about the future, and has been talked about as a possibility for years, is the digital age making things like this possible. Some people will always find the idea ridiculous, but I think it's fascinating, and would keep distinctive film personalities active for decades to come.
All I have to say is 'Wow!'. What a great bunch of images.
