There are lots of dating websites out there, and lots of them cater to people with specific tastes such as motorcycles, cats, and tattoos. But now there’s a dating website for Star Trek fans. Unimaginably called Trekkie Dating, it works like any other dating website. You sign up, enter your location and preference, and look for love. If I were single and into online dating, I might take the advantages of this website. You don’t have to worry about your Trek fandom being a deal breaker. But I have to say this website is off to a bad start with the name. A real Trek fan would call him/herself a Trekker, not a Trekkie.
The best part is that they have a list of pre-written Star Trek themed pickup lines you can send to other members. Time Magazine provided a sampler:

- “Let’s talk over a cup of Raktajino” [Klingon coffee]

While those are okay, they’re kind of generic. We’ve got some other suggestions for real Trekker pickup lines:
