The upcoming movie Life of Pi is a visual masterpiece and we’ve gotten some exclusive photos to share with you from the film.

Above Image: Life of Pi (2012) Piscine Molitor “Pi” Patel (Suraj Sharma) and tiger on lifeboat

The film Life of Pi, is based on Yann Martel’s 2001 bestseller about a 16-year-old boy drifting at sea in a lifeboat alongside a tiger, zebra, hyena and orangutan. It’s a challenging novel to adapt since it is deeply psychological, allegorical and requires giving the feel of open waters. Academy Award winning director Ang Lee is up to the challenge.

Check out the stunning visuals and secrets of the film Life of Pi.

Can't wait for this. A stunning novel that looks as though it will be splendid film. Ang Lee is great, just not for the Hulk. LOL

    3. Natasha Hudnall on November 26, 2012 2:59 pm

Spaceerguy, you'll have to watch the movie to find out.

    5. spacerguy on November 26, 2012 2:59 pm

That tiger looks really angry and all set to pounce but how do you get a tiger into a boat?

    6. Maurice Mitchell on November 26, 2012 2:59 pm

Amazingly, most of the shots of the tiger are CGI Alex. They did have a few real ones on the set though.

    7. Alex J. Cavanaugh on November 26, 2012 2:59 pm

Amazing photos. So there was a real tiger?
      Looking forward to that one!

    8. Maurice Mitchell on November 26, 2012 2:59 pm

It is a visually stunning movie. I haven't read the book, but have it on my TBR list

    12. Maurice Mitchell on November 26, 2012 2:59 pm

It definitely looks pretty Pat. I haven't read the book yet, but It may not have much to do with it. Kind of like Forrest Gump

    13. Pat Dilloway on November 26, 2012 2:59 pm

I'm sure it'll look pretty but from reading the book I can't see where it'll be very much fun to watch.

    14. Tom Badguy on November 26, 2012 2:59 pm

Hmm, this looks like one of those tochy, feely, movies. Not really my glass of beer.
