Darth Maul Star Wars: The Clone Wars voiced by Sam Witwer

Star Wars: The Clone Wars season five is coming soon and, at San Diego Comic-Con International, LucasFilm released a few teaser videos to get us ready. This has been kind of a mixed blessing to me since the show has really expanded on the Star Wars universe, but is hit and miss for me on excitement. This season promises to be great though.

Of the all the big things promised, the biggest is the return of Darth Maul after last season’s “big reveal.” Yes, he survived being cut in half. But he was driven insane, sported robotic spider legs and hid away on a distant planet plotting revenge. Now he’s back.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 5 Sneak Peek #2 – Comic Con 2012

Darth Maul and Savage Oppress prove that two are better than one when they attack. Notably Darth Maul isn’t using his double-bladed lightsaber anymore.

Here are a bunch of HD screencaps from the videos to get a good look.

The series has been around that long?

    2. Pat Dilloway on August 7, 2012 4:20 pm

I've never watched more than a couple minutes of it. If Darth Maul could really have survived, why didn't they bring him back in the movies? He was way better than that old guy they got for the second movie. Yoda vs. Geriatric Sith Guy was the lamest lightsaber duel ever.

Pat, it was only after a million years after the last movie that Lucas decided to bring him back. Better late than never I guess. LOL Geriatric Old Guy. Subject: [geektwins] Re: 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Season 5 HD Teasers Screencaps [Star Wars] ~ The Geek Twins

I think Darth Maul could do with some time off with Counselor Deanna Troi from Star Trek, Hehe. She might be able to help the dude sort out his anger issues.
