Despicable Me (Single-Disc Edition)
I haven’t seen this movie but I’ve heard good things about it. Specifically, someone told me it’s better than Megamind.
Product Description: In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences with flowering rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbors, hidden beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Surrounded by a small army of minions, we discover Gru planning the biggest heist in the history of the world. He is going to steal the moon, yes, the moon. Gru delights in all things wicked. Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays, and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way. Until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad. The world’s greatest villain has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes.
24: The Complete Eighth Season
Mediocre by any standards, it might be worth getting if you missed it. If you can afford it, go for 24: The Complete Series. That way you can play the “witness gets killed right before they tell Jack” drinking game.
Product Description: Hang on for the adrenaline rush of a lifetime as Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland) unveils darker secrets, faces deadlier conspiracies, and is thrust into more extreme action than ever before in Season 8 of 24! As Day Eight unfolds, Bauer races against the clock to prevent the assassination of a Middle Eastern leader on a vital peace-making mission. Meanwhile, a deadly terrorist threat against New York City intensifies and builds towards an explosive climax. Relive the electrifying final season of TV’s most groundbreaking series ever, including a surprise ending you simply must see.
The A-Team (2010)
Recently, the director lamented that this movie was badly marketed, because those few who saw it enjoyed it. I have to say I gave it a pass, because I’m sick of TV remakes and didn’t want my beloved memories of this show ruined. Let’s give it a chance on DVD.
Product Description: Buckle up for an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride starring Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Sharlto Copley. Convicted by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit, a daring team of former Special Forces soldiers must utilize their unique talents to break out of prison and tackle their toughest mission yet. It’s going to take guts, split-second timing and an arsenal of explosive weapons…this is a job for The A-Team.
60 Minutes – Spider-Man (November 28, 2010)
Follow the history of either the greatest hit or flop premiering on Broadway starring our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Product Description: With high velocity flying, wildly imaginative costumes, and dazzling special effects, the much-touted and much-troubled musical Spider-Man: Turn of the Dark is finally opening on Broadway. The show brings together the talents of director Julie Taymor, plus Bono and The Edge of U2. But even all that star power wasn’t enough to keep “Spider-Man” from falling on hard times. Lesley Stahl, who has been following this story for a year, reports on this tangled web.
Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus / Mega Piranha
This two-pack combines the best of the Asylum’s “Giant fish attack” movies at a great price.
Product Description:
(MEGA SHARK VS. GIANT OCTOPUS) In the melting Arctic, two prehistoric sea creatures have been unleashed from their tombs of ice. Bigger, stronger, and faster than any animal our modern world has seen, they terrorize the ocean with an appetite for destruction that engulfs anything in their path. When Mega Shark and Giant Octopus turn on each other however, a spectacular battle for supremacy of the sea unfolds.
(MEGA PIRANHA) After a boat carrying diplomats disappears on Venezuela’s Orinoco River, Navy Seal Jason Fitch (Paul Logan) is called in to investigate an assumed assassination plot. But something much bigger and deadlier is the culprit: a mutant strain of giant, ferocious piranha. Genetics researcher Sarah Monroe (1980’s pop star Tiffany) has discovered that they’re quickly doubling in size…and heading north to the ocean. Jason and Sarah must team up to stop the massive fish from devouring everything–and anyone–in their path. Hold on for this wild ride the Huffington Post calls “the Syfy Channel’s most insane original movie yet!”
Addams Family: S1 (Animated) (4 Disc)
This short-lived attempt at bringing the Addams Family back to television was closer to the original comic strips than the live-action show or movie. This is good or bad, depending on your viewpoint.
Product Description: Be delightfully miserable with the Addams Family as they take to the road in their Victorian-styled RV for spooktacular cross-country quests only they can conjure. From Nashville to New Orleans, New Mexico and Hawaii, these peculiar parents – Gomez and Morticia – treat their family to misadventures, including outwitting a band of gold thieves, freeing the animals from New York’s Central Park Zoo and racing a horse in the Kentucky Derby. They even win a piece of the moon and with Uncle Fester’s rocket, the trip will be a blast! You may remember them as “altogether ooky,” but the spirit of this family is contagious! Scream with joy over this 4-Disc, 16-Episode The Addams Family Complete Animated Series Collection!

Addams family on Broadway? That's a great idea. Gotta be better than Spider-man
—–Original message—–
My favorite broadway show is Adams family. I would see it again on broadway or as a traveling show.
I've not seen Megamind, but Despicable Me was great. And look – a double-shot of bad SyFy movies!
