My favorite thing about this list is that it’s sorted by decade for context. This is an awesome list of great science fiction films and I admit to a touch of jealousy that I hadn’t written it.
Here are some highlights:
1. A Trip to the Moon : This short film from 1902 involves a group of men traveling to the moon via cannon, being kidnapped by aliens when they reach the surface, but then safely coming back home.
67. The Last Man on Earth : The concept has been seen several times in recent years, but this 1964 take on life in a world after an apocalypse is worth watching.
69. Dr. Who and the Daleks : If you are a fan of Dr. Who, you should find out what happens to him and his family in this 1965 classic.
92. The Brother from Another Planet : This classic from 1984 involves an alien who somehow escaped the grasp of some bounty hunters from outer space and ended up in New York. However, he must continue to evade them while on planet Earth.
The title of the article suggests you can watch them all online for free. This is kind of misleading since some of the links lead to trailers instead of the full movie. Still, the list of available movies is surprisingly long.
