    Recap Alien: Earth (2025): S1E07 – “Emergence”

At the start of the episode, Slightly (Adarsh Gourav) is in his bedroom next to Arthur Sylvia (David Rysdahl), who has a facehugger over his head. In a childish attempt to make himself feel better, he tries to give Arthur a drink, but all it does is make the alien’s grip even tighter. Knowing that something is happening, Smee (Jonathan Ajayi) knocks on his door and demands to be let in. As soon as he enters, he sees Arthur’s body and yells, “What did you do?” Slightly begs Smee for help, or his family will be murdered. After some imploring, he convinces his friend to help carry Arthur to the beach. Once again, Gourav is the best actor to portray the simple innocence of a little boy.

Meanwhile, lab alarms blare as Kirsh (Timothy Olyphant) discovers Tootles’ body. He then observes one of the alien flies spitting acid onto electronics. Prodigy soldiers quickly arrive, stunning and containing the two escapees. Boy Kavalier (Samuel Blenkin) enters and finds Tootles. Initially, he’s shocked, but then fascinated by the flies’ digestion process. Kavalier assumes it was an accident, but Kirsh shows him a tape revealing that the sheep intentionally headbutted the glass, startling Tootles into closing the door on himself. Awestruck, Kavalier asks Kirsh to relocate the sheep. This dude is seriously disturbed.

Upon Wendy’s (Sydney Chandler) entrance into the lab, the xenomorph in its cage immediately looks up. After she sees Tootles’ body, she wants to tell the other Lost Boys, but Kavalier rejects the idea. When soldiers block her exit, Wendy chitters at the xenomorph, which then charges the glass in frustration, causing the soldiers to quickly move aside. Once she’s gone, Kavalier demands that the other hybrids be located before Wendy can reach them, but Kirsh discovers their trackers have been deactivated by someone (Arthur, of course).

Back in her room, Wendy tells Joseph “Joe” Hermit (Alex Lawther) about the incident, and her brother says they have to leave. She seeks help from Nibs (Lily Newmark) and Curly (Erana James), who question Nibs’ memory erasure. Nibs warns them of death and ghosts, while Curly believes this is the best place she’s ever been. The Lost Boy won’t join them but promises not to rat them out. She’s still drinking the Kool-Aid.

After that, Wendy uses a computer screen to unlock the xenomorph’s cage. As Wendy, Joe, and Nibs escape, the alien rips through everyone in its path. Boy Kavalier realizes Arthur is still on the island, and he questions his wife Dame (Essie Davis) after footage shows Arthur and Joe turned off the trackers hours ago. Kirsh catches Slightly and Smee sneaking Arthur’s body out. Surprisingly, the synthetic knows about it and shows them a quicker way down. At the same time, the trio escapes to a cemetery containing the Lost Boys’ former human bodies. Nibs is thoughtful, but Wendy insists they’re right there.

Back with Slightly and Smee, they hide from soldiers and (surprise) Arthur’s body disappears. It turns out he’s awake and has no memory of what happened. The two lie about a gas leak, but the scientist realizes the kids are lying and scared. It’s touching how much he cares about them. Which is why it’s so heartbreaking when he suddenly collapses, and the chestbuster explodes out of him. Slightly searches for it, but it’s long gone. He panics, but his only hope now is to bring Arthur’s body to the cyborg. Weyland-Yutani soldiers, including Morrow, find Arthur’s corpse missing a chestburster. The young man is desperate and worried about his mom, but Morrow instructs the soldiers to bring the Lost Boys to search for the xenomorph. Sadly, they dump Arthur into the water, and he sinks to the bottom.

Atom Eins (Ade Edmondson) talks to Boy Kavalier about Wendy and others getting out. But the Prodigy founder is more interested in communicating with sheep. He shows the alien the symbol for PI and asks it to identify the next two numbers. The sheep stomps its foot to complete the sequence, indicating it knows math. Eins worries about the alien escaping and transferring to humans, but Kavalier wants to hear it talk. So he starts devising a plan to do just that.

Wendy, Nibs, and Joe are in the woods near a boat dock when soldiers literally pop out of the tall grass. Wendy warns them to leave before the xenomorph kills them. She gently chitters at the creature, and it runs off. Joe asks Wendy what her sister said, and she says, “Hide and follow… I think.” She’s an Alien Whisperer now.

The xenomorph is caught in a net before Morrow leads his group into the Prodigy facility, but (surprise) Kavalier’s forces surround them. Turns out the whole thing was a trap. Kirsh, holding the baby xenomorph, says “finders keepers” before asking Morrow and his men to drop their weapons. Slightly and Smee are “grounded,” and the soldiers are taken into custody.

At the boat dock, Wendy, Joe, and Nibs prepare to launch the boat. Suddenly, Siberian (Diêm Camille), Rashdi (Moe Bar-guns), and others emerge with guns. One of the soldiers makes the mistake of ripping Nibs’ toy away, and she rips his jaw off like a Walking Dead zombie. A huge fight starts between the security guards and the hybrids. Nibs nearly kills Siberian, but Joe hits her with a stun gun, and she falls to the ground twitching before lying still. Joe’s sister screams, “What did you do?!” as yet another of the Lost Boys is gone. In the distance, the xenomorph sees everything, and you have to wonder who’s going to die next.

Overall: Watch Alien: Earth (2025): S1E07 – “Emergence”

Watch the Alien: Earth episode “Emergence” because it’s a creepy and tense episode full of action.

Alien: Earth Episode 7, “Emergence,” delivers a short yet intense chapter as chaos erupts following Isaac’s death. Morrow’s plot to smuggle a xenomorph traumatizes Slightly, and Wendy, shaken by recent losses, unleashes the now-mature alien on Prodigy’s lab, embracing her dark side. The episode stands out for a touching yet eerie moment between Wendy and the xenomorph, symbolizing her acceptance of guilt. Nibs descends into violence, exposing the trauma’s effect on the kids. The episode ends abruptly, pushing the cast into high-stakes survival for the finale, all set to a haunting Queens of the Stone Age soundtrack. Emergence sets up the season finale perfectly.

I’m giving this episode 3.5 out of 5 stars
