The New Trailer for Andor Season 2 Welcomes You to the Rebellion

Lucasfilm has unveiled a new trailer for its second and last season, hinting at the significant sacrifices that will be made in the struggle against the Empire, with less than a month till Andor returns.

This second trailer is much more in keeping with the vibes people anticipate from Andor, whereas the first trailer for the season had a more rock ‘n’ roll tone for its feelings of revolution. High drama, high stakes, and a great deal of speculation about what Imperial and Rebel alike are prepared to give up for the sake of the impending conflict are all interspersed with the dramatic, blaring tone of Star Wars’ famous Imperial klaxon.

The trailer largely expounds on things we saw and spotted in the first—more Rogue One action as Saw’s partisans begin to flourish and Krennic’s plans for the Death Star become clearer and clearer, the show’s depiction of the fundamental turning point in the Rebellion’s formation, the Ghorman Massacre, and even a bit more of Mon Mothma’s return to Chandrila for Leida’s wedding.

However, a much greater subject this time is the Imperial’s fight back against the increasing insurgency—the pressure on both sides as tensions get hotter and higher. Stormtroopers rushing around, eerie glimpses of Imperial carriers and capital ships in the sky, and a sneak peek at what Dedra and Syril will be up to this season are all shown to us. It’s all excellent stuff, and even though we already know where it’s headed, it looks like something unique as Tony Gilroy and his team put the pieces together.

There’s also a new poster for the new season of Andor: a Star Wars Story:
