I’d love to hear what you think of the Internet’s greatest moments in
    this week’s “Geek Bits.”

    By The Way

If you haven’t played Star Wars Card Trader (and you have an Apple device) you gotta start. It’s awesome. First tip I’ll give is when trading set your “Cards to Get” filter to “Duplicates” and “Cards I Need” and your “Cards to Give” to “Duplicates” and “Cards They Need”. That way you both get a fair trade.

No podcast this week, but we have some amazing guests lined up, and you can now take the podcast on the go using PodBean or PodOMatic! We’re working on iTunes, but they have strict requirements. Please be patient.

Star Trek: The Animated Series – “Yesteryear” (01×02) – Recommended

Official Synopsis: “Spock must return to his own past on Vulcan to prevent his death as a youngster.”

This is an excellent episode written by the great Dorothy C. Fontana herself and is one of the best time travel stories in Star Trek series
history. The ethical questions raised are powerful and seeing Spock
talk to his younger self is surprisingly touching especially the
conversation about fathers and sons. The scene where Spock gets bullied
by young boys was probably borrowed for J.J. Abrams 2009 film and it
works just as well here. Interestingly, I noticed they used the Godzilla
roar sound effect. Filmation probably had it lying around.

Here are some of the other reviews from my friends in the blog hop

Should Spider-Man be in Avengers? Are you looking forward to Rogue One and Episode VII? How awesome is Robert Downey Jr.? What kind of hairstyle do you think Joker will have? What do you think of this week’s links and reviews?

The Sharknado 3 cameo is awesome. What a sport.
The real question – does that Enterprise Frisbee really fly?

    2. jeremy [retro] on March 13, 2015 4:44 pm

what is this Sharknado?… 🙂 RDJ, is one of the coolest cats who gets what he does as a privilege and has earned my respect… though sadly everyone is wrong… it's not RDJ it's TONY STARK!

    3. TS Hendrik on March 13, 2015 5:42 pm

I like the new Wonder Woman outfit. She finally looks warm.
I don't like Jared Leto as an actor, a musician, and (just from the impression I get from how he comports himself in the public eye) as a person. Plus he shot John Lennon so…
Enterprise frisbee golf, the final frontier.

    4. Maurice Mitchell on March 13, 2015 6:48 pm

It’s probably easier for her to get taken seriously in the outfit Tim. Especially in the Arctic. I know nothing about Leto, but if he shot Lennon then he’s perfect for the Joker 😉

    5. Pat Dilloway on March 13, 2015 11:49 pm

Leto was ok in Lord of War and Dallas Buyer's Club but neither really translates to the Joker.

    6. Gary Philip Pennick on March 14, 2015 12:06 am

Upon reading your post, Maurice, one part I would like to highlight is in regards to Terry Pratchett. The man was very aware of his ongoing battle with Alzheimer's. He was an avid campaigner to bring further awareness.

I thank you for your supportive, understanding comment on my blog. Cheers.

      Gary 🙂

    7. Jemi Fraser on March 14, 2015 1:44 am

So sad about Terry Pratchett – sounds like he was a great man!

    8. Tara Tyler on March 14, 2015 1:50 am

love the fan insert, don't know how they do that!
can't believe terry pratchett is gone, too young, too soon
and way to go RDJr! Love when celebs do good!

    9. Maurice Mitchell on March 14, 2015 2:39 am

Agreed Gary and it's especially close to my heart because of my Mom who suffers from it. Your blog is always inspiring my man.

    10. Maurice Mitchell on March 14, 2015 2:40 am

Apparently it does fly Alex, which is a feat of engineering.

    11. Maurice Mitchell on March 14, 2015 2:41 am

He is Tony Stark Jeremy and his off screen work is even more inspiring than his films which is rare. He's been through a lot and appreciates his second chance at fame.

    12. Maurice Mitchell on March 14, 2015 2:42 am

I've never seen either but who know Heath Ledger could pull it off?

    13. jeremy [retro] on March 15, 2015 4:06 pm

agreed, I can say WELCOME BACK to the Stark Expo… I think I am referencing Iron Man II?
