Darth Vader is a skilled tactician, a warrior, a Sith Lord, and a duelist. It turns out he’s also handy with the hickory.
This commercial was created to promote a pro baseball game in Japan. In Japan, professional baseball is divided into the Central League and Pacific League, similar to the US’ American League and National League. On May 4, 2013, the Pacific League had a Vader’s Challenge where Darth Vader (escorted by the Japanese garrison of the Stormtrooper 501st Legion) went to Sendai Kleenex Stadium and threw out the first pitch. Couldn’t find video of the actual pitch, but I’m pretty sure this version is better.

Well, if he hadn't hit it out of the part and destroyed the Death Star, I would've been disappointed.
I don't know. If it had that much kinetic energy, I'd think it would have passed through the death star… actually, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure it would have exploded the bat and ball both. Hmmm… I'm not sure that's entirely real.
I've seen the Gif, but never the video. The sound makes it all the funnier!
