Want to meet the craziest Star Wars fans in the world?

Most Star Wars fans are pretty cool. Like the Star Wars costuming group 501st Legion which helps with charity. The owner of the world’s largest personal Star Wars collection Steve Sansweet. Those guys that built a life-size Millenium Falcon. All awesome Star Wars fans.
On the other hand, there are some real wierdos out there, and some of them just happen to like Star Wars.
Never Let ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Drive
Who Is He?
In California, Obiwan Kenobi was arrested after causing a 4-car pileup and fleeing the scene. Three cars were stopped in the straight-ahead lane on westbound Fairway Drive, while a fourth car was waiting in the left-turn lane. A man who legally changed his name to Obi-Wan Kenobi pulled into the left-turn lane, tried to merge into the straight-ahead lane between two cars waiting in the lane, hit the cars he was trying to merge between and then jumped out of his car and took off. He was arrested at his Roseville home. Benjamin Cale Feit changed his name to the Star Wars character as part of a radio station contest.
Why Is He Terrifying?
It turns out the accident caused him to turn to the dark side. Speaking of dark sides….

They Wanted To Make Lightsabers In The Worst Way
Who Are They?
Two people were severly burned using lightsabers filled with gasoline. In 2005, two people were critically injured when their mock lightsabers, made out of fluorescent lightbulbs and gasoline, exploded. A man, aged 20, and a girl, 17, were apparently filming a mock lightsaber battle when they poured fuel into the glass tubes and lit them. They were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The police said, “At this stage we are unable to confirm the exact circumstances, but glass tubes and traces of accelerant (flammable substance) were found at the scene.” They also found a videotape.
Why Are They Terrifying?
Many have dreamed of having a real lightsaber, but only these idiots thought to do it in the woods with flaming flourescent bulbs. But at least they only hurt themselves.
Don’t Call Them Dolls!
Who Is He?
A man killed his wife for breaking his Star Wars toy collection. 30-year-old Rickie La-Touche was sentenced to life in prison for killing his Thai wife Pornpilai Srisroy after she smashed up his Star Wars toy collection. He said he “flipped” when she did it as part of a campaign to ruin his life. After he choked her he ran to his Mom’s house sobbing and confessed. Yes, surprisingly enough, his mother lives nearby. The collection was one he had built since childhood and was worth “thousands of pounds.” He met her one night in Bankok (makes the whole world tremble) and married her three years later. He told police “My wife is from Thailand and she keeps threatening to leave. We argued and she said she was going to make my life hell.
“She’s put me through it before. I couldn’t let that happen again. I then just remember getting up from on top of her. I think I’ve choked her.” By the way, he’s a 30-year-old man who had to go to Thailand to find a woman that would marry him and lives several doors from his Mom. No steroetypes there.
Why Is He Terrifying?
He killed another human being over small plastic toys. Another guy who went too far with Star Wars toys.

The Force Is Strong At Toys ‘R’ Us
Who Is He?
In Oregon a 33-year-old guy walked into a Toy ‘R’ Us store, grabbed a Star Wars lightsaber toy and started swinging at customers. After proving his Schwatrz was bigger than there’s, he headed into the parking lot. The police chased him, but they couldn’t arrest him because “he kept swinging the lightsaber at them.” One cop tried to use a Taser, but it didn’t work. The second cop tasered him too, but shockingly (Bazinga!) he knocked the wires away using his lightsaber. Finally, they tackled him and arrested him on “several criminal charges.” None of the “victims” of the lightsaber assault were harmed.
Why Is He Terrifying?
Apparently, the guy has real Jedi powers! Not only was he able scare people just by swinging his “elegant weapon,” but he manged to deflect Taser weapons just using his light saber. The next guy doesn’t want anyone to use their powers for good.

Never Help A Family Using Darth Vader
In an episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Ty Pennington visited the home of, Mizzy Zdroj, a volunteer firefighter who’s own home was destroyed by the largest wildfire in Texas history. Zdroj said, “When our house burned, all I could think about was, ‘What am I going to do about my kids?”
Husband Chris Zdroj and his 8-year-old twin sons are long-time fans of the Star Wars saga. In fact, the fire destroyed his collection of action figures he’d collected since the 70s. The episode featured members of the 501st Legion dresses as Stormtroopers and other characters helping to build the family home and donating toys from their personal collection. “There are just no words adequate enough to say how awesome our house is,” Zdroj said, fighting back tears.
A heartwarming story and one we can all appreciate. Everyone except one Star Wars fan.
“I just saw the opening two minutes and they had Darth Vader and his Storm Troopers helping build a new house!” The unnamed fan complained, “This is disgusting and it’s exactly what people were afraid of with Disney buying Star Wars. They are ruining the franchise by using it for trivial b*******t. Please write about this. It’s outrageous and it’s totally wrong.”
Why Are They terrifying?
Anyone that can hear about a family being helped by a charitable organization and complain is scary. This last guy is scarier because of his priorities.

Quit His Job For Star Wars
Back in 1999, excitement was high for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Many people camped out for days to buy tickets. Many people quit they’re job to stand in line. Kurt Volk, 25, quit his job in Chicago to wait in line at Graumann’s Chinese Theater. “I’ll charge the whole d**n thing on my credit card,” he said. “I don’t care. I’m going back to Chicago financially ruined, but I don’t care.”
Why Is He Terrifying?
He quit his job to watch the worst Star Wars movie ever made.

A Star Wars fan choking someone to death is pretty appropriate, especially if he did it in an Anakin/Vader costume. Really though what wussy cops not to grab some guy swinging a plastic toy.
Stupid is a better word for it. And they say Star Trek fans are crazy.
I was surprised about that too Pat. How menacing could have been?
Awesome, fun Star Wars post to read, Maurice, Hehe, I suppose Alex has a point.(Sigh) there was a time when I use to speak weird technobabble lingo to my friends (blog it too) lets just say I had an interesting view of the universe but I had to grow up sometime and move out of my parents basement, lol.
If I stood in lines for days at an end, I'd probably be stupid enough to quit my job over it, too.
I guess he decided to go "all in" Tony.
Oh my God!!! LMAO These people are ridiculous.
If he was swinging a real sword, the cops would be pulling out their guns and use deadly force instead.
