Not entirely sure where I fit in there. I mean I like some of the movies on both sides of the debate.
I don't entirely agree with it. Too many of the thing being separated fit both sides of the coin. I tend to think of nerds largely as intelligent but lacking greatly in social skills, etiquette, and a general awareness of people. Geeks are anyone with a compulsion that could be deemed "fanboy/fangirl-ish" and can range anywhere from movies and music to books and science. They have fine social skills, and can talk with just about anyone, it's just a question of if they want to.
And it's that mentality that's made geeks cool now, whereas it was frowned up years before. Also here's a quick down for blogger's reference:
Geeks: Comment something that contributes to the discussion of the post.
Nerds: Comment something they find logical, but generally missing the point.
B******s: Correct grammar and spelling in your posts.
From my response, I guess you can see I fall into both categories.
TS really gave it some thought!
Mostly geek I guess. And I can see both sides seriously lacking in social skills.
You could have just said 'Star Wars fans vs Star Trek fans'.
It's a thorny question. That's why I made the "Both" option. I would have a hard time choosing.
