The film Life of Pi, is based on Yann Martel’s 2001 bestseller about a 16-year-old boy drifting at sea in a lifeboat alongside a tiger, zebra, hyena and orangutan. It’s a challenging novel to adapt since it is deeply psychological, allegorical and requires giving the feel of open waters. Academy Award winning director Ang Lee is up to the challenge.

magnificent!
Can't wait for this. A stunning novel that looks as though it will be splendid film. Ang Lee is great, just not for the Hulk. LOL
It looks visually stunning…. and boring. I will be interested in seeing it just to see how they take the story
Spaceerguy, you'll have to watch the movie to find out.
That tiger looks really angry and all set to pounce but how do you get a tiger into a boat?
Amazingly, most of the shots of the tiger are CGI Alex. They did have a few real ones on the set though.
Amazing photos. So there was a real tiger?
Looking forward to that one!
That ones my favorite picture after the tiger one Anna. Stunning. Ang Lee had a great eye.
Omg that one with the whale is incredible. Seriously cannot wait to see this movie 🙂
Let me know what you think of the book MPax
It is a visually stunning movie. I haven't read the book, but have it on my TBR list
It definitely looks pretty Pat. I haven't read the book yet, but It may not have much to do with it. Kind of like Forrest Gump
I'm sure it'll look pretty but from reading the book I can't see where it'll be very much fun to watch.
Hmm, this looks like one of those tochy, feely, movies. Not really my glass of beer.
best film of 2013!
